In 2022, DJI was able to fly one of their drones over Mt. Everest.

Here's the drone video (2022) recorded at the highest point on Earth!
https://youtu.be/Zz9oI3B6v4cIn 2024 and 2025, DJI drones, specifically the Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 4 Pro, achieved record-setting, high-altitude flights over Mount Everest, capturing 8K footage of the summit at 8,848 meters. These drones, often operated with 8KRAW, showcased remarkable stability in high winds (up to 50 km/h) and thin air.

After a bit of drama with the drone yesterday (turned out the one I'd bought second hand was actually stolen and the shop has now refunded me) so I've bought a brand new DJI Flip to replace it.
The view from up there is amazing, but it's frightening to think that I've climbed up to about two thirds that height on Hyperia (236ft) Vs 400ft.

I am usually out and available to take photos at sunset, so how can I not take these photos.
Am hoping to find other subjects as well, but frankly there isn't much color in a #MInnesota winter other than the sunset.

Until today, I've been using the "Auto" settings on the camera as I get used to the #DJIMini2 drone.
Today I turned them off and played with "Pro" settings. After a bit of processing, I got this.
