TITLE: Your dreams aren’t random. Your brain is rewriting reality

Dreams are not random mental noise. A large study of more than 3,700 dream and waking reports found that what we experience during sleep is shaped by both our personalities and the world around us. Rather than simply replaying daily events, the dreaming brain mixes memories, emotions, imagined possibilities, and familiar settings into vivid new scenarios.

  2. I had a dream last night that almost all my teeth fell out. Any ideas on this symbolism? I've been chewing this over since early this morning.

  3. I started recording my dreams with VoiceNotes AI. I've always wanted to have a dream journal, but if I don't record them when waking up I will forget them and I can't be bothered with pen and paper when I'm that tired. The cool thing is, I can use the AI for dream analysis. Voicenotes.com #Dream #Dreams #DreamAnalysis #NoteTaking #VoiceNotes

  4. CW: Nightmares, Dream Description

Last night I had three distinct #nightmares. For reference, I can't remember the last time I ever had a nightmare.

Most remarkably, a group of demonic entities were after me and family. Ahead of two humanoids (who I had much more fear about), a small rabid dog-like thing materialized through a mirror. I grabbed it with both hands and it clamped down on my right thumb. I was able to hold it down easily and even though everyone was shouting at me to break its neck, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I awoke to a pain in my right thumb that has lasted all day (perhaps from too much phone gaming).
