I recently listened to "Pale Blue Dot" by #dreamtheater and really liked the #music [1].
I didn't really pay attention to the lyrics, although the phrase "... to save us from ourselves" caught my attention.
Today I came across the full lyrics [2] and after this year's summer of #drought here in #Europe they hit hard. Excerpt:
"""
All you will ever know, all life that ever was
All you despise or love, living out their lives
This isolated speck, hurtling through the cosmic dark
Would seem to go astray if we were washed away
"""So, yeah, let's save us from ourselves.

Vaikka tämän sanat ei henkilökohtaisesti minua (juurikaan) kosketa niin aina se saa herkistymään. Eikä asiaa helpota lopun kolmen minuutin mittainen kaikkien aikojen kitara soolo

I respect them for their musicianship but their own material is to hard for my taste. So here is something I like.
