This week I activated SOTA/GMA summit DM/NS-001 Wurmberg as well as POTA Park DE-0070 and WWFF DLFF-8805 Harz Nature Park and WWToTA DLR-0636 Wurmbergturm. It was a quiet crowded area on a sunny sunday, as the summit is accessible by a cable car and theres a lot of touristic activity for families and children. (You don't see that in the photo lol).

Today I opened my personal POTA season at DE-0171 Volkspark Friedrichshain - a big recreational park in my neighborhood. One of the best things in POTA are the random encounters. Today I met the artist Michael Kutzner (www.michaelkutzner.com) who draws with GPS in the Volkspark. He has some cool works on his website. #amateurradio #draussenfunker #pota

This was one of those evenings... I had this idea of a very small morse key/sounder device for kids to solder at events for quite some time. I was thinking about a mechanical switch. But after brainstorming at the #draussenfunker Discord, I remembered the TTP223 touch sensor. Not a big fan of touch input. But having the problem solved for just 5 cents? Yes, please!
Prototyped a proof of concept quickly and designed a PCB from scratch. Ordered parts for 100 kits. All within 3 hours. 😬

First #POTA of 2024. DA-0261 Thörls Park in Hamburg. First 10 SSB-QSOs in 5 Minutes! 27 QSOs in total. Never had such a quick activation. Europe, US and Canada in the log on 20m using my #EFWH and 50W from the FT-891. Thanks for hunting!
