Federal appeals court upholds Florida law restricting drag performances

Nine people showed up to hate a drag story hour. Two hundred neighbors stood in the road between them and the children. Qween Jean made history as a trans Tony winner with 500 looks. A trans deputy outlasted seven years of her own department. The hate is loud — and God, is it outnumbered.

Another example of what happens when politicians' discourse encourages others on the far right to reject the pluralistic society we live in, and instead try to forcibly impose their views on others. #farright #terrorism #Pennsylvania #dragstoryhour

So, the same people who want to "protect" children by keeping books out of the library, preventing them from listening to #Dragstoryhour and banning #affirmativetreatment for #transchildren are ok with dangerous #childlabor.

When right-wing bigots threaten drag queen story hour, "butch" female bikers step in to defend the event.

On Saturday (29 April), members of the Wind Sisters biker organization defended drag queens and the families of those who attended the event from the inevitable anti-LGBTQIA+ response by standing outside of the Middlesex County Library in Parkhill, Ontario, Canada.

It was snowy outside the legislature this morning, but then there was this inside! #mtleg #Montana #dragstoryhour

I've had an idea for the next Vigilauntie Justice novel. It revolves around a… Wait, what's the collective noun for a bunch of #DragQueens?

These drag artists (kings and queens and assorted drag royalty) do something kind of like #DragStoryHour but for older folks. They do makeovers and interactive performances at retirement communities and nursing homes.

Is that a real thing? I hope it's a real thing. If not, someone should get on that.

Organizers of the event say they will not be discouraged and believe the anger and animosity is because people are misinformed about what happens at these events. #DragStoryHour

This morning I went to a #DragStoryHour counter protest. One of the protesters (we way outnumbered them, obvi) had a sign with arrows pointing to "Drag Queen Story Hour" and "Detention camps." Like srsly, the transphobes are outright admitting that they're Nazis...& proud of it???

Another sign asked for a first responder story hour. Go ahead! It would get cops off the street, at least!

Let’s be honest here. A parenting failure on your part does not require legislation. Just talk to your kids and answer their questions. It’s not that hard. You know who doesn’t freak out about #GenderBending story hours? Kids.

Kids learn hate from parents. #Drag #DragQueen #DragStoryHour #DragQueenStoryHour #Inclusion #BeHonest
