  1. Meanwhile on the season finale of Drag Race Philippines aka #DragRacePH

  2. What I haven't seen being talked about yet is how Angel's talent song is reminiscent of the kanto game "taray-tarayan" where #gay kids would take turns saying acrostic shades like "La, Le, Li, Lo, Lu. La: labandera lang kita. Le: leche ka sa buhay ko…"

One can even say that this is the Philippines' own version of the reading challenge.

  4. #DragRacePH finale in 10 minutes!!!

Personally, I'm rooting for Tita Baby but I'd like for Maxie or Khianna to win. I would be disappointed if Angel wins; I don't feel, as a member of the audience, that she's up there yet. But I would love for her to win in a later season, or even an international one 😍

  18. CW: Drag Race Philippines but with no contestant spoilers

Last week’s makeover challenge on Drag Race Philippines was an absolute emotional roller coaster. I cried multiple times, and it made for a reminder of why this show is so effective: it tells queer and trans stories in a way that is important, human, and relatable.

Mild spoiler: the makeoverees were the Golden Gays, and they reminded everyone of their grandmas and grandpas and I haven’t been happier about a main challenge in ages. And a well deserved lipsync result.

This week’s challenge was Branding, which can be tough for some of the queens. One of my favorites was struggling, and it felt ominous in the pit of my stomach throughout the episode.

And then that motherfucking lipsync. It was one for the ages. There was nothing left to give, because everything was on the floor. I sobbed all the way through it.

I don’t know what it means for next week (the finale???) but the decision was 100% the only one to be made.

  22. #DragRacePH made me start doing makeup. And the fact that #drag shows are much more accessible in the #Philippines now means people like me can have more confidence to be who they are, and other people to be more accepting of who others can be.
