  1. I’ve been sleeping on Drag Race Mexico s2 :sadcat: these girls are so good

  2. I will also note on the #DragRaceMéxico front that Monterrey's #MaríaBonita is giving frontera cowgirl Trixie vibes in boy gear with a look like this and lines like this:

  3. I should note for the benefit of all, whether you're watching #DragRaceMéxico or not, that this is a pretty hot cast in boy gear in general, and I suspect a looooot of goths around the world are about to immediately go for #Garçonne, who looks like this:

  4. CW: Drag Race Mexico, no spoilers

A favorite queen of #DragRaceMexico is Christian Peralta. One of the most beautiful and fiercest drag artists that I’ve seen in ages, and also completely and totally devoted to his wife and daughter.

He talks about his family early and often — his love for them is an enormous part of his appeal — but Christian doesn’t really explain his own sexual identity until a few episodes in. The conversation is handled with dignity and respect, and I am really grateful that he got to share his story like this.

  5. I know I’m biased: I came out in Florida; I’ve lived in California for 30 years; I’m married to a Mexican and been involved with the queer Latinx arts and culture scene in SF. I have been waiting for something like #DragRaceMexico for a long long time. So many of the runway looks captured something specific and turned it into High Drag. Lady Kero’s muxe bride. Matraka’s sobrenatural look. I could keep going.

So take it with a grain of salt when I say this first season is one of the best seasons of Drag Race, any franchise full stop. The makeover challenge was so fantastic and I’m kinda stunned it’s never been done in this way before.

I don’t think there has been a Top Four this talented since Season 9, when Sasha, Shea, Trinity and Peppermint battled it out. (That was even Valentina’s season!).

I cried multiple times in this finale episode. Any one of the girls would make a fantastic winner.

And then there was that lipsync. I have NEVER seen anything like that. I’m still recovering.

  6. CW: Drag Race Mexico

  7. weirdest bit is there are two host judges, so one does the Ru Walk out, they stand there and the music repeats for the other one to do it too #DragRaceMexico

  8. have demoted watching drag race to “ambient television” status when I am doing work and have just started the Mexico season. the work room and stage is probably the highest budget of any season of the show. #DragRaceMexico

  9. CW: Drag Race Mexico spoiler

I am screaming at Gala Varo teaching the makeover guests how to tuck and them looking terrified

  10. After a fan uproar when #MTV, the new home of #RuPaulsDragRace, cut the show from 90- to 60-minutes to make way for a new reality show no one asked for, #ParamountPlus will stream the full 90-minute episodes beginning August 9. And later this Fall, the new #WoWPresentsPlus series #DragRaceMexico will also join the #streaming service.

    We’re watching #DragRaceMexico.

    First impressions…

The #werkroom is *huge*. Their country is tiny and there are more than 100 million people. How do they have so much space?

Also, oh my gosh. The looks are so polished. Comparing this to most iterations of #DragRace, they all look so incredibly professional.
