« Cette avocate a même fait parvenir à la CDPDJ la liste d’une douzaine de noms d’enfants qu’on a laissés dans des lieux qui ne sont pas adaptés à eux, entre autres une « unité sécuritaire qui ressemble à une cellule avec des murs de béton, où ils sont censés rester un maximum de 48 heures. Il y a des enfants qui sont restés là plus qu’une semaine! »
Si ce n’était que d’elle, « il n’y aurait même pas ce genre d’unité ».
Et quand elle défend un enfant, cette avocate a toutes les misères du monde à avoir l’heure juste. « C’est très difficile d’avoir des documents pour valider ce que les jeunes nous disent. Par exemple, je demande les notes pour un an, on m’envoie quatre pages, quatre pages pour un an! » Moins la DPJ en donne, moins cela peut se retourner contre elle. »
