Bij verwerkingen van persoonsgegevens is het belangrijk om vroegtijdig inzicht te krijgen in mogelijke privacyrisico’s voor betrokkenen. Dit doe je door een Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) uit te voeren. Zo werkt het niet. Als een school specifieke computers met een specifiek OS voorschrijf dient de school dat in te kopen, DPIA's uit te voeren en verwerkersovereenkomsten af te sluiten voor het besturingssysteem en alle andere software die school erop (laat) zetten. Dit is dan gewoon lesmateriaal en moet dus net als schoolboeken aan leerlingen worden verstrekt.

Als een school kiest voor Bring Your own, dan heb je ook het recht om te bepalen wat voor OS en software daarop draait. Je hoeft het beheer van jouw laptop niet aan school over te dragen, net zomin als dat je je huissleutels aan school moet geven.

Zo werkt het niet. Als een school specifieke computers met een specifiek OS voorschrijf dient de school dat in te kopen, DPIA's uit te voeren en verwerkersovereenkomsten af te sluiten voor het besturingssysteem en alle andere software die school erop (laat) zetten. Dit is dan gewoon lesmateriaal en moet dus net als schoolboeken aan leerlingen worden verstrekt.

Als een school kiest voor Bring Your own, dan heb je ook het recht om te bepalen wat voor OS en software daarop draait. Je hoeft het beheer van jouw laptop niet aan school over te dragen, net zomin als dat je je huissleutels aan school moet geven.
