  6. Antartica Activity Week 2026

Last day of AAW, overall the weekend has been rather slow, probably due poor conditions and the lack of CW on the normal bands. There are two activities still left. Note that I have postponed the 20:00z activity by one hour, and only doing CW on 17m and 30m:

    18:30z - 18:50z 14115kHz CW and SSB
    21:00z - 20:30z 18078kHz and 10110kHz CW

Overall I am happy with the results of this week, giving me a good overview of what works and what not, and gaining some more practice
Like stated yesterday, I am planning more activities in the upcoming weeks, so in case you could not reach me yet, there will be another chance :-)

    Looking forward working you!

  10. Antartica Activity Week 2026

Unfortunately I had to skip the 8:30 to 10:30 timeslot this morning, night was short due some needed repairs. For today, two more activities are planned - note that frequencies have changed:

    18:30z - 18:50z 14115kHz CW/SSB
    20:00z - 20:30z 14115kHz CW/SSB

I will call the first five minutes in CW, and then switch to SSB after answering all calls. This is due the ARRL WW CW Contest right now, so the CW segment on 20m will be occupied.

Unfortunately the announced FT8 Activity between 1:00 and 2:00z won't happen tonight, as I need some sleep
😴 No worry, I will provide more opportunitis on that band in the next couple weeks, also in CW, as the results from last night were surprisingly strong signals.

    Sundays schedule so far:

    09:00z - 10:30z 10110KHz CW and 14115kHz SSB
    15:00z - 16:00z 24910kHz CW and 14115kHz SSB
    18:30z - 18:50z 14115kHz CW and SSB
    20:00z - 20:30z 14115kHz CW and SSB

    Looking forward working you!

  15. Antartica Activity Week 2026

I had a blast yesterday, sorry for sometimes not picking up calls right away, QSB along with some static noise is rather cruel down here.

For the weekend I am planning to participate in the ARRL WW DX contest, but will shuffle in some other oportunities for CW and SSB as well.

Here is the schedule for activities by DP0POL/mm for today until Sunday morning (all times in UTC).

    Friday:
    08:30z - 09:30z 7010kHz and 10.110KHz CW
    09:30z - 10:30z 10.110KHz and 14010kHz CW
    15:00z - 16:00z 28010kHz and 24910kHz CW
    18:30z - 18:50z 24940KHz SSB
    20:00z - 20:30z 18120 kHz and 14110kHz SSB
    21:00z - 22:00z 18078kHz and 14010kHz CW
    22:00z - 23:00z 14010kHz and 10.110KHz CW

    Saturday:
    08:30z - 09:30z 10110KHz CW
    09:30z - 10:30z 10110KHz CW and 14110kHz SSB
    15:00z - 16:00z 28010kHz CW and 24940kHz SSB
    18:30z - 18:50z 18078 kHz CW and 14110kHz SSB
    20:00z - 20:30z 18078 kHz CW and 14110kHz SSB

    Additionally I'll try FT8 on 80m:
    01:00z - 02:00z 80m FT8 (Saturday and Sunday morning)

As usual, if two frequencies are stated, I will call for 5 minutes on the first frequency, then switch to the second frequency in case of no response, and call there for 5 minutes, then switch to FT8.
This repeats every 30 minutes until the end of activity.

For FT8, tune to the standard frequency +1Khz.

73 and looking forward working you!

    15:00z - 16:00z 28010kHz and 24910kHz CW

    18:30z - 18:50z 24940KHz SSB (Friday only)

    20:00z - 20:30z 18120 kHz and 140110kHz SSB (Friday only)

Note that there won't be an activity today on the 18:30z and 20:00z timeslots.

At the beginning of each activity, I will call for 5 minutes on the first frequency stated. If there is no response, I will switch to the second frequency, and call there for another 5 minutes. In case of no responses I will switch to FT8 after 10 minutes on the second band until the next half hour starts, then trying again as described.

    15:00z - 16:00z 28010kHz and 24910kHz CW

    18:30z - 18:50z 24940KHz SSB (Friday only)

    20:00z - 20:30z 18120 kHz and 140110kHz SSB (Friday only)
