Interesting panel/interview with the CEO of Rivian, RJ Scaringe, who speaks plainly about tariff impacts to supply chain for US manufacturers, constant whiplash from policy changes, the transient nature of the current administration's nutjob approach and capex planning, etc. Hope DeMuro's team does more of this, but even if you don't care about cars per se, still interesting from policy perspective. #cars #rivian #thiscarpod #dougdemuro

Have you all kept up with the #DougDeMuro saga?
He posted a video attempting to portray himself as a self-made man with no “rich” parents to help — he graduated from Emory University with no debt, so that’s $250K right there. 🤔
Also, he was good, whereas all other freelance writers are bad. All of them. 😳
He eventually admits some “luck” was involved. 🤦♂️

He is such a pontificator (and that’s the perfect word for him). He mistakes his undeniable personal success financially with Cars & Bids with business acumen writ large.
I hope he’s wrong about some of those brands, but what does he actually know about running a car company? Probably nothing at all. 🤷♂️
#Maserati and #Jaguar feel like they could have been on that list too.
