This advice has been coming more in handy in a world that is increasingly not set up for people like me (and likely you) to win. These are double-binds that are often foisted upon us from outside: From our family or friends, employers, society itself.
Fascism wins when it tricks you into thinking it's your fault for not winning, when in fact, the situation has been set up for your failure, no matter what you do.
Acknowledging this is the first step to freedom. And to seeing that you might have more choices than you realize.

Apparently you're not supposed to put doubts on the shelf anymore? But also don't talk about them. The double-bind just got bindier. This is how the manipulation is done.
