  1. In last weeks #DotNetRocks, they discussed #musical metaphors for #AI
    Here's mine:
Visual Studio (Code) is my 2 turntables and a microphone and Copilot is my 5 milk crates of LPs.

  2. @devlead @dotnet @bot Ever since I heard what you plan to do with that Cake SDK and file-based apps on #dotnetrocks, this is my most anticipated talk at this year's #dotnetconf. I won't be able to watch it live but three hours later. I hope I'll still be able to ask questions. (We are in the same time zone, it seems).

  3. After listening to the #dotnetrocks episode I was on, which was released today, I can still hear my speech impediment. That is why I speak more slowly and with pauses. I have been asked why I do that, or assumed I am not smart.

If you're experiencing this issue, like I am, keep going and have confidence!

  4. I heard on a recent #dotnetrocks that someone did an Advent of Code one year entirely in Rockstar!

Anyone fancy doing the second album?..

  5. To paraphrase recent comments on #DotNetRocks.

AI will NOT replace developer jobs. You, however, may be replaced by a developer who knows how to use AI to make better products or to be more efficient.

You need to learn to use AI. Period.

  6. I just had a dream that @carlfranklin and @richcampbell were interviewing someone on #dotnetrocks who had ported the .Net 8 runtime to the Commodore 64

  7. Listening to Steve Gordon & @Martindotnet on #DotNetRocks talking about observability.

The idea of tracing being a richer source of app introspection than logs is an interesting one.

  8. Listening to the latest #dotnetRocks podcast, and @richcampbell reads a comment from @gaprogman "G-A, must be from Georgia." 😂 apparently unfamiliar with the #dotnetCore podcast, or at least it's host? Anyways, just found it amusing when worlds collide. @carlfranklin #dotnet

  9. Watch me fix a #WholeBunch of bugs in the MAUI #DotNetRocks app youtu.be/LX9kkgL46-M and announce the winner of the Bug Treasure Hunt contest! Premieres Friday, Aug 18 at 2PM ET.

  10. @carlfranklin Re #SecurityThisWeek 101. Interesting how the Moq/SponsorLink lssue.
This appears to be related to several #DotNetRocks where you discuss issues about how #openSource is cruel to its maintainers.
On one hand, I can see where the maintainer is coming from. On the other, I can't trust them and need to do some panic research on the competition this weekend.

  11. Podcast players must have started to partner somehow with advertisers. I listened to #DotnetRocks by @richcampbell and @carlfranklin and got an advertisement in Finnish.

This is the first time I encounter this. I hope all the revenue goes to the duo and not the #PocketCasts which I used as a player.

I don't mind if the advertisement is a bit more targeted, but revenue should go to creators and not podcast players.

  12. One of the things I appreciate about #dotnetrocks is the copious number of links in the show notes. @carlfranklin and @richcampbell do a great job of capturing links to items mentioned in the show.

My team uses #Cypress, so I'll be passing along a link to episode 1843 to our QA lead.

  13. @jonskeet Microsoft hired a buy to try and sort out filename length restrictions across the board. I recall a podcast (#hanselminutes or #dotnetrocks) interviewing him. I had high hopes at the time!
