After a somewhat promising first part, the season finale for #DrWho, #EmpireOfDeath was another monumental letdown. Zero plot, incredibly unsatisfying resolution, rubbish use of a classic baddy, and poorly handled adoption scenario, mostly disregarding Ruby’s true mother: the one that raised her.
#73Yards and #DotAndBubble aside (and some elements of #DevilsChord), this was a really weak season. Bad enough that I’m not eagerly looking forwards to more #DoctorWho. Which is really quite sad.

@TheDarcBird I feel the plot for #TheDevilsChord was super thin, but I teally enjoyed #JinkxMonsoon as the baddy. Neatly unhinged. #73Yards and #DotAndBubble were great, but felt a big drop in #Rogue. The Rogue character felt really flat and random, plot again didn’t really make sense, and generally I’m not big on the Doctor getting romantically entangled. At least without good buildup! Takes away from the ‘otherness’. I know many seemed to like it though.

A social-network filled with instagram nazis hiding in their bubble to avoid looking as their friend-list gets eaten by slugs.
Brilliant.
Heh. "This bubble video-chat could have been an email" would be my reaction in that world.
Not all that much actual doctor in the last couple of episodes. Good emotional outburst at the end there when they're racists refusing rescue.
Ricky September seemed pretty intriguing as seeing through the matrix to reality but only really there to be double-crossed. Poor guy.
Another great one RTD is so good.

Quality #DrWho continues with #DotAndBubble. The first half of the season should’ve been filled with more of this! Seems Moffat’s episode was the turning point. This was an odd one, but a good kind of odd. Finally happy to be watching #DoctorWho again. I’ve missed that feeling.

Okay. If you haven't yet seen the latest Doctor Who episode, "Dot and Bubble," stop reading right now because
SPOILERS
Wow. Choosing to have The Doctor be oblivious to the actual meaning of the episode until near the end as a way of distracting the audience from what was going on even though it should have been obvious--brilliant!
So, how long did it take you to figure out that this episode was really about #racism

Very enjoyable. I take back everything I've said about AI. The narcissistic humans were clearly the monsters.
On an architectural note, I couldn't help feeling that the city looked like a slightly more built-up version of Poundbury.
Looking forward to the Regency episode next week.

* If this had any flaws at all, I did not care about them.* The boomery satire on social media this promised ended up being superseded by a different, better story about how the brainwormed rich deserve to die.
One story disguising another, better story. Been a while since we've seen that.
