I suddenly remembered an old DOS puzzle game I made in 1995 and I had to dig it up. It's not bad. Gotta love the system requirements: Fast 286 and about 60KB of memory and disk space.

Kennt das außer mir noch jemand? "The Dragon's Power". Ein Top/Down-Shooter mit fliegenden Drachen, der irgendwann um 1994 mal vom bhv Verlag vertrieben wurde. Läuft auf MS-DOS und vermutlich auf jeder Kartoffel von PC ab 286er oder so. Hab mir das Ding hier mal in einer VM unter MS-DOS installiert. Und ja, ich bin so schlecht in dem Spiel! 😞

It's interesting how culturally dependant trivia games are. Playing the 1987 #Jeopardy #DOSGame, I really have a hard time answering many of the questions. There is also a German version called #Riskant. It's not just a translation, the questions are different ones. That localized version is very easy to win for me.

Re-reading this guest review on my own website really makes me want to play #GlobalConquest again! It's not a super structured write-up, or even highly researched, but shows so much highly infective enthusiasm.

Discovering foreign worlds or even distant planets has always been the kind of fascination that can be simulated especially by computer games in such an enjoyable way. The programming of such worlds alone is worth exploring. Continuing my #DosGame adventure with the kids.

Did the Reader Rabbit series with them. 5 did an amazing job with all the words and reading. Did his first word scramble. He was pretty funny. Kept telling 4 that they had to hit F1 for help, and then would proceed to read the instructions out loud so they could work on the game together.

4 did a good job with letter identification.

I do like the old educational games. I feel like there is more focus on education.
