Наша команда заметила, что в процессе эксплуатации All-Flash систем хранения данных OceanStor Dorado 5000 V6 примерно после двух и более лет в работе начинают проявляться дефекты, которые потенциально могут повлиять на доступность данных и работу СХД в целом. Одна из таких проблем – встроенные M2 SATA SSD накопители. Они используются и как системные, храня на себе ОС контроллера, и как конфигурационные базы данных, и как Coffer – диски, куда сбрасывается Write-cache при аварийном отключении системы, пока BBU (модуль резервного питания) обеспечивает работу оборудования. Basecalling on RTX 3060, dorado's ram usage never goes above 8GB~ on 12GB GPU. What are the chances the memory usage is specifically tuned for 8GB range to account for majority of consumer level GPUs out there?
I wonder if I can manually tinker to improve performance here.

Needless to say, the open source community has definitely improved life for me lately. It's inspired me to step up my game too with my #dorado astronomy/python project (which has been in development since 2018/19, and is almost ready for a stable release) and a Raspberry pi based open-hardware project that's not quite ready for the public yet.
