Congressional Republicans advance federal ‘don’t say trans’ school bill

NEW #FLORIDA HOUSE BILL HB1223

The text of the bill:
-clarifies that "sex" means the 'binary division of individuals based upon reproductive function' and is immutable.
-in K-12 settings (public and charter) students and staff 'may not provide preferred personal title or pronouns.'
-in the same setting, staff and students 'may not be required to refer to another person using the person's preferred personal title or pronouns if they do not match that person's sex.'
-staff and students 'may not be asked to provide or be penalized for not providing their preferred title and pronouns'
