Johannes Gerhard, Lutheran Scholastic, writes on love. Faith receives from God and charity gives to neighbor. God is love, (1 John 4:8); so where there is no charity, don’t believe that there is faith.
He’s not calling for a government program. He’s telling everyone that you don’t have to sit still when a bloke claims to have faith when there is no charity. This is so refreshing.
How can you showeth faith within?

#donatefood Feed the Needy, Change Lives
Our Slum Feeding Program has been a cornerstone of our efforts to combat hunger in underprivileged areas. So far, we have served nutritious meals to several slum areas, reaching 10-12 communities where access to food is limited. Every meal distributed is not just food—it's hope, health, and a step toward a brighter future. -
Henry Moncreiff-Wellwood, Scottish minister, argues for Christianity for its effect on the world. Systemic kindness to the poor, even before government sanction. Consider the effect on those who’d’ve witnessed the transition.
Even if you know religionists who aren’t known for mercy to the helpless. I would say that you have in no way offered any evidence against Moncreiff-Wellwood’s claim.

I'm making it my personal mission to stock up this empty community free pantry for every week in September & at least twice a month, until Winter storms prevent me from being able to get to location safely. This area has some of the poorest people in our local community. I'm going to recruit a few #humanitarian friends to help me keep this community box stocked up. I was upset to see it completely empty today.
