2 accountants expected to testify today
Trump’s fmr longtime #accountant, #DonaldBender, is back on the #witness stand as TFG’s attys continue #CrossExamination.
Attys for the AG said in court yesterday they might seek additional questioning of Bender when Trump's team is done.
After Bender finishes, the AG's office is expected to call #CamronHarris, who works for #WhitleyPenn, the #accounting firm that succeeded Bender's firm.

During #CrossExamination this afternoon, #Trump #lawyer Jesus #Suarez tried to pin the blame for #inflated #FinancialStatements on Trump's fmr #accountant, #DonaldBender.
Suarez noted in his questioning that #Bender was the only #CPA compiling the documents, & that others involved like #AllenWeisselberg didn't have that level of expertise. (Um, he was the CFO - the Chief Financial Officer 🤦🏼♀️)

Oh FFS; Before the first #witness #DonaldBender, could even begin testifying, one of Donald #Trump’s attorneys issued a preemptive #objection. Chris #Kise told Justice Arthur #Engoron that he objected to various parts of the #accountant’s #testimony & wanted to issue a “blanket objection” based on an #appellate ruling in June.
“As you know we won an appellate victory in June of this year,” #Kise said. “We make a blanket #objection to #testimony in that regard.”

During the #TrumpOrganization's 2022 #criminal #trial on charges of helping certain executives evade #taxes, Bender testified that Trump reported massive losses on his tax returns, including losing a combined $1 billion between 2009 & 2010.
