Too windy for boats again today sadly, yesterday I could just about hold the camera steady enough for distant shots of #dolphins around #Chanonry Point... ...doubtless those around here with bigger cameras and longer lenses will have better photos but the fact this is handheld from the phone suggests how close they came around the headland. Perfect timing after the walk down the beach from Rosemarkie

It has been a very quiet few weeks for seeing the local Bottlenose dolphins in the Inner Moray Firth around Chanonry Point, the winter period can be quiet anyway as they spend a lot of time further out to sea. The most reliable time to see them up here in the Moray Firth is from the end of March onwards, once the salmon run picks up. #dolphins #MorayFirth #Wildlife #ChanonryPoint #DolphinsOfMastodon
