I don't have the skills, and I certainly don't want to use AI to do it, so here's my cards on the table:

SDL3, which Dolphin uses, can read all the inputs from a Steam Controller 2015/2026 perfectly fine without Steam Running. Including the gryo.

It's kinda goated as a replacement controller for Wii Games because of that.

Right now it super can not read the Gyro without unsupported 3rd party applications.

Can someone please go implement Steam Controller Support via SDL3 into Dolphin? For previous work, the Twilight Princess PC Port, Dusk, has a full implementation.

Finally (mostly) fixed the framerate and audio stutters in Dolphin Emu on my Steam Deck whenever I pressed the volume buttons.

Turning off vsync does the trick. The framerate only slightly goes down now and with turning that off and enabling audio stretching there are no audio stutters at all.

And that also improved the stutters in general, not just when pressing those buttons.

When I first heard of RetroAchievements (no fedi presence booo) about a year ago, I immediately dismissed it as a silly gimmick.

BUT THEN…it came to GameCube.

And goddammit, that's gotten me to actually install Dolphin for the first time in years!

By checking out and compiling the iOS version of the GameCube Dolphin emulator, I got this emulator running natively on Vision Pro.

This makes it possible to play GameCube games with just a DualSense controller and the Vision Pro!

The quality is often higher than the original since Dolphin supports higher rendering resolutions and improved texture filtering.
