Started restoring a #dolls hair today - it's very tangled and matted and mostly fried at the tips.
I knew it would take a long time but after 2 hours I am only half way done !
Shall leave the rest for another day.
Am wetting, untangled and straightening with a hot hair press - which is a faaaaar easier process than rerooting her whole dang head !?
Pics when it's done. 👍🏿

Have now washed the doll and her hair and she's looking vastly improved already. I might not wipe off her factory face after all.
Need to further defrizz hair (unsure how to do that at the moment).

Craft help please ?
I want to do a Face-up on an Rainbow High Doll.
Every tutorial I have seen about #DoLl Face-ups uses Mr Super Clean Matt lear sealant spray to seal paint / watercolour to the face
I am in the UK and Mr Super Clear is relatively expensive to get here.
What alternatives can I use ?
[Thanks in Advance]

So i'm hesitantly about to start - what will definitely be a long haul - on an art project and so this post was very well timed for me.
I know I'll make mistakes along the way but I'll learn during the process.
🤞🏾😝
I want to sculpt my own ball jointed doll out of clay.
I suspect it's going to take at least a year before I have the first working prototype!

Just watched someone Bag Lining a jacket for a 1/3 scale BJD (Ball Jointed Doll) and my brain is boggled at how difficult they made the task for themselves.
They also added two rows of riveted plackets and.. that is ridonkulously ambitious.

Made a pumpkin out of foam clay and it's my first time using foam clay and am quite happy with mah teeny Pumpkin 😉

My full size sewing Mojo might be AWOL (for now, for various reasons) but I finished a small project for a doll today (oversized hoodie, 11.5 inch size) which is happy-making.
Will share pics, once outfit is finished but that might take a while !
Still progress, is progress. 🪡🧵
