Our first taste of a #Dolcetto wine and boy, what a #wine! I let it rest for 30 minutes before tasting it and opened up beautifully. I detected black pepper, violet and blueberries. Medium body, can't detect much alcohol. You can tell it's a #PiedmontWine but it's very different from anything else I tried. Loved it! #italianwine #winetasting #winelover #winegeek

Haven't tasted the Idlewild #Dolcetto (Mendocino) yet, but the Flora & Fauna blend is usually good.

@micchega So there are tons of pleasant, good value Dolcettos. One blew me away once. Don't remember the vintage, but it was Marziano Abbona Papa Celso #Dolcetto di Dogliani. #wine
