  14. 👀 One year after the introduction of Grant DOIs at the Dutch Research Council #NWO

    👉 doi.org/10.64000/dvqke-j4v69

    Important aspects:
    🟣 Researchers are implementing the use of Grant #DOIs well
    🟣 Publishers should work on better capturing and processing #metadata on funding
    🟣 Older projects do not yet have DOIs

    Grant DOIs advance open, connected science, with funders, researchers, and publishers all sharing the role to unlock the full potential of #openresearch data.

  22. Any journalology wizards out there?

    Of the 21,151 journals in @DOAJ how many register per article DOIs with DataCite (rather than e.g. Crossref) ?

    Here's three I've found:

    * Global Africa (ISSN: 3020-0458)
    * Ex-centric Narratives: Journal of Anglophone Literature, Culture and Media (ISSN: 2585-3538)
    * Open Gender Journal (ISSN: 2512-5192)

    Maybe this is info that DOAJ could collect and display itself?

  43. Still strikes me that #ChatGPT perfectly grasps the structure of #DOIs, but that it comes up with non-existing DOIs (ok, to be honest, one does exist in this example, but it points to a totally unrelated paper*). So, it's a good practice to ask students to include them in #assignments ;-)

    *Although the reference titles and authors look reasonable, they do not match with existing works, as far as I know.
