When Pope Benedict went to Heaven
St. Peter was blocking the gate
God was busy with other departed
So Benedict just had to wait

He scolded Saint Peter severely
And he asked "Don't you know Who I am?"
St Peter just said, "No exceptions,
And frankly I don't give a damn."

Benedict straightened his cassock
And mumbled, "I still think it's odd,
He really can't see how important I am
I guess that's the problem with God."

Recently, when driving to Heatherbrae's Pies to buy some Shepherd's and Jillaroo pies for lunch – they are bloody delicious by the way – this little ditty formed itself in my otherwise chaotic mind.

At least I remembered what I was there to buy once I got to the counter 🤣🤪
