Hopefully repairing this Doepfer PLL module with a new OpAmp, since that's most likely the thing broken, but we'll see. The two logic chips are bigger and I don't have any of them, but I do have some spare NE5532P opamps.

Took some juggling but I got them going together. Success! The G&T gate-to-trigger is sandwiched between the Doepfer A160-2 Clock Div II and the Nonlinear Circuits Poultry in Motion PT2933 delay with integrated divider that can be synched to the delay steps.

Picked up two used clock dividers at Perfect Circuit so I'll be tetrising a spot for them today.
I really want the large delay / divider in the big rack but the space I have is 8hp, not 10.
My Rotating Clock Divider died and I will try to fix it, but I have momentum on other makes that I need to finish first!

#doepfer #drehbank was a pretty solid piece of #MIDI hardware . 64 knobs in a very solid box is hard to come by these days.
Since it is discontinued since 15 years (!) , it was a challenge to get a working editor.

Got a used Doepfer A160-1 Clock Div and A145-4 Quad slimline LFO. Although I have a full-up power bus in the all-Doepfer 104hp modular boat, I have 4hp leftover.
Each LFO on the A145-4 has a frequency range jumper on the back, so I'm thinking an over-designed passive switcher for each. I could line up four Mini Taiwai toggles directly next to each LFO frequency knob.
And maybe I'll overdo the module with a passive vactrol LPG. Because of course I should.

I imagine this envelope generator was designed with sort of standard keyboard applications in mind, but I think it might have a lot of potential in generative patches.
Or maybe I'm just itching to buy something new. I bought only one other module this year.

A little bit of progress. Let’s see if the cardboard will hold or if I need to switch to another material. It is also a bit sobering how little equipment I can fit while keeping some padding in between. Also still concerned by heat, testing will show. Can’t wait to play this setup.

I did it! I bought the A-111-4. I was kinda wondering if I should spill the probably not-so-secret way I managed to save nearly $120 US. I simply ordered from thomannmusic.com and had it shipped to the US. Easy peasy, it'll even be here by Friday apparently!
I'm all about supporting the smaller vendors and normally I do! I *AM* one after all! I make laser cut eurorack cases via my bitbybitsynths.com stuff. But that was just too big, even relative to other Doepfer products available here stateside. I'm still not sure if Thomann just mispriced it. I reached out to them to see if this was just B-stock and they said it was brand new.
So there ya go for anyone wanting the 111-4 for _far_ cheaper than any other place I've found it.
