Still at number one, for the third and - surely! - final week, Doctor and the Medics with "Spirit in the sky".
We get the video of this as well, with Doctor climbing up his ladder, peering into the Psychadelic Cube of Destiny, and generally gothing about as if his afterlife depended on it.

55 years ago today #NormanGreenbaum was at #1 with this song aiming to mock televangelism.
“Prepare yourself you know it's a must
Gotta have a friend in Jesus
So you know that when you die
He's gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky”

On this day 50 years ago, ‘Waterloo’ by ABBA entered the UK charts for the first time and later went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
“Waterloo, I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo, promise to love you forevermore
Waterloo, couldn't escape if I wanted to
Waterloo, knowing my fate is to be with you
Woah, woah, woah, woah, Waterloo
Finally facing my Waterloo”

It was 50 years ago today that ABBA released their gold single, ‘Waterloo’. The song also won the Eurovision Song Contest, and thanks to this added exposure, made it to #1 in nine countries.
“My, my, at Waterloo Napoleon did surrender
Oh yeah, and I have met my destiny in quite a similar way
The history book on the shelf
Is always repeating itself”
