  11. about 2 weeks since i started #homelabbing
    changes and improvements since,

    - i had initially everything setup on wifi and that was hella unstable, i would get random connections drops. i bought an extension board and connected everything via ethernet to my router's internal switch.
    - i had been using my old dell inspiron n4010 as my #NAS but the usb 2.0 was starting to become a painfull bottleneck and i eventually shifted the HDD to my thinkpad with a usb 3.0 port. unsure how i wanna use the dell now, i would probably shift adguard home and other light services over to it.
    - have setup #dockge to easily manage docker containers and "stacks" as they call it.
    - have setup a few other services including but not limited to, #navidrome, #actualbudget and #karakeep.

  19. Still looking for a good container manager.

Unfortunately, is living up to its dictionary definition. I like all of the information and power it gives me, but I prefer the ease with which I can just copy and paste my Docker Compose into . looks overly complicated for my needs.

I want Dockge, but with just a bit MORE. What’s a good one to try out?

  24. This weekend, I migrated my large, wall-of-text, single docker compose file containing all the services in my home server into multiple smaller, logically grouped “stacks” with a more organized directory structure and a convenient UI-based management tool, Arcane (getarcane.app/). Before settling with , I also tried and evaluated and which had their own pros and cons like Arcane does. I will revisit these alternatives in a few months again.

  29. @otherryn my recommended docker compose web UI right now is definitely github.com/louislam/dockge

  30. Back to #dockge from #arcane as a web UI for docker compose management. Arcane has more bells and whistles (and required clicks) than I need, and the dockge repo seems to have become active again github.com/louislam/dockge also became a sponsor of the project while at at it. #SelfHosting

  35. #Selfhosted and #Selfhosting people, what your current go-to for web-based docker container management? I've been using #dockge and I like it, but it seems nothing much is happening there (last commit 8 months ago). I tried Arcane, but... it's a bit... arcane, I liked dockge's simplicity more. #portainer seems to have gone enterprise and is likely to get more "enshittified" over time. So what do you all use?

    #wordpress #nextcloud #phpwcms #theme #mariadb #mysql

Ich will seit Jahren #python lernen und komme keinen pups weiter.
