Looks like we're waiting on dnf5 v5.4.2.1 rpm build to hit @fedora with the fix for dnf5daemon.

Not seeing it in Koji or Bodhi yet.

There appears to be a bug in #Fedora 44 with malcontent-timerd service and dnf5daemon-server services not stopping properly at shutdown.

Is anyone else getting stuck with 5 minute shutdowns?

I think @fedora needs a patch to GNOME Software for enabling repos. I am not sure if this is a bug that's been covered yet?

GNOME Software -> Software Repositories currently directly edits repo files in /etc/yum.repos.d/ but the `dnf5 config-manager enable <repo-name>` command creates an override file under /etc/dnf/repo-overrides.d/ directory.

And if you use Software UI to disable a repo the override file is not removed.

Toggle "Test Updates" on
Toggle "Test Updates" off

Run dnf config-manager enable updates-testing
Run dnf config-manager disable updates-testing

Things quickly get out of sysc

GNOME Software can also get stuck in a loop trying to display the repo list if it loses track.

Latest release of dnf5 (5.2.14.0) has introduced a new regression that might cause Terra to not load correctly.

If you are having this exact issue, downgrade dnf5 using:

sudo dnf5 downgrade dnf5

TIL that #DNF5 have added the option to offline update with direct power off.
Before dnf5 one had to wait for the offline upgrade to happen and then power their system off.

Last week I finally sit down and tested new feature in #DNF5 Actions Plugin I asked for and using it implemented integration between DNF5 and #etckeeper . It turned out to be easy, it's a single 2 line config file. Happily using it now on my #Fedora42 machine.
