Hmm. Now that 5e is in the Creative Commons, there’s a free version of it being developed. If used widely enough, this would cut out WizBro entirely and put the granddaddy of #ttrpgs directly into the hands of the players. I hope this gains traction. cf. I'm spinning up a new campaign set in the Forgotten Realms, and a new player (having never played a TTRPG before) wanted a slightly different background for his Dwarf Barbarian; something that reflected his IRL care for green places and that knit together nicely with the character's backstory.

So I built a homebrew background for The Forester for #dnd5e and 5.5e. HT to @KeithAmmann for having built a 5.5e feat I could use.

I am so in love with how the emerald green enamel looks against the gold-toned body. The weighted spin feels incredibly smooth.

How do we feel about rolling with a mechanical roulette instead of standard loose dice? 🎲

Wizards of the Coast hat in 2026 dafür ein neues Produktmodell eingeführt: Statt einzelner Buchveröffentlichungen laufen jetzt durchgetaktete Quartale mit Thema, Hauptbuch, Ladenprogramm und digitalen Extras. Die erste Season, Season of Horror, lief von April bis Juni.

Klingt etwas abstrakt. Aber meine Vermutung: Das könnte ein Produktmodell sein, das sich vielleicht auch der ein oder andere deutsche Verlag etwas genauer anschaut. 🧵
