A 7am early journey to the DMZ. Passport required. Expecting heavy security & a large army presence.
I'm ex UK forces so a lot wasn't a surprise, but the sheer craziness of it was still shocking.
A very recommended visit if you ever get a chance. Haunting, interesting, but madness.
You can also walk the escape tunnel which was started in the North into the South!

Привет, Хабр! Меня зовут Артём Чуйков, я инженер компании Innostage — первого кибериспытанного интегратора сервисов и решений в области цифровой безопасности. Я занимаюсь внедрением межсетевых экранов на промышленных предприятиях, и сегодня хочу поделиться практическим опытом. Ни для кого не секрет, что злоумышленники постоянно пытаются атаковать наши киберрубежи. Успешная атака на офисную сеть приводит к утечкам данных, зашифрованным дискам, потерянным деньги и репутации. Как правило, такой ущербе можно компенсировать: восстановить данные, вернуть инфраструктуру в рабочее состояние, извиниться перед клиентами и контрагентами. Однако успешная атака на автоматизированные системы управления технологическими процессами — это уже совсем другая история. Это обесточенные города, остановленные производства, потенциальные техногенные катастрофы. Представьте, к примеру, атомную электростанцию, управлять которой могут злоумышленники, получившие нелегитимный доступ. Именно поэтому внедрение систем обеспечения информационной безопасности позволяет эффективно противостоять подобным угрозам. Для объектов критической информационной инфраструктуры внедрение СОИБ является не просто рекомендацией, а требованием регуляторов — ФСТЭК, ФСБ, а также стандартов, таких как ГОСТ Р ИСО/МЭК 27001 и других.

#Zelensky has been keen to show he is fully committed to peace, amenable & willing to make compromises. In recent days, he also has appeared at times to be trying to call the Kremlin’s bluff.
He told reporters Tuesday that he was willing to pull Ukrainian troops back from areas of the #Donbas region still under Kyiv’s control & turn those areas into a #DMZ — as long as #Russia withdraws its forces from an equivalent area of land.

But Kyiv & Washington did not reach an agreement on 2 sticking points: the fate of Ukrainian-held territory in #Donetsk & control of a major #NuclearPlant currently occupied by #Russia. On the second point, Kyiv offered to manage the plant jointly with the US [🤦🏼♀️] as a form of compromise.
It remained unclear how the proposed Ukrainian concessions not yet accepted by the #US would be communicated by American officials to Moscow.
