So in Denmark, to get a card to prove that I'm disabled, I have to pay a total of 950 DKK!
750 DKK for a doctor to write an attestation that "Yes, she's disabled", and a 200 DKK admin fee for the card itself.
And then every third year (or less), I have to pay the admin fee again to renew, and if my conditions are not deemed permanent enough, I'll have to pay for another attestation from the doctor, that I'm still disabled.
And there is no way to get this expense covered by insurance or benefits.
We may have a social safety net, and single payer healthcare system, but if you're disabled, you're often just left paying out of pocket.
