NY HAMMERSHØI-TEGNING I SAMLINGEN 👤
Tegning var en helt central del af akademi-uddannelsen til kunstmaler på Vilhelm Hammershøis tid – og nu har vi været så heldige at føje denne flotte kultegning til samlingen 🌟
Tegningen forestiller en buste med det ikoniske "Venus Anadyomene"-motiv – Venus (eller, om du vil, Afrodite) på vej op af havet.
Så snart tegningen bliver udstillet, skal vi nok give lyd!📋 Vilhelm Hammershøi, Studietegning efter en gipsafstøbning af en antik græsk Afrodite-torso (ca. 500 f.Kr), ca. 1880, Kul på papir, 75 x 48 cm.

Unspectacular perhaps, but this 💐 painting by Danish painter Emmy Thornam (1852-1935) just appeared in the @smk online collection. I just thought you should see it 😀
The painting (and thus, the 7220 x 7663 px photo) is squarely in the public domain.

We just launched the Vilhelm Hammershøi Digital Archive at https://hammershoi.smk.dk.
It's a frontend for vast amounts of data produced by studying 130 paintings in great detail over 5 years 🔬
The site is meant for conservators and anyone interested in the technical aspects of art history 🧑🔬
We made it as #openaccess as we could!
