#DIYDay and #BadPics of food combined today.
Had a rough nights sleep, didn't get of until 2-3am and was woken up by beeping at 4am again... slight power interruption like during the thunderstorm the other night. Enough to trigger the phone to beep that it's lost power along with the TV turning itself on and lighting up the room.
So I eventually got back to sleep, and it was disjointed and restless. So I never actually got up until 10am.
Had my coffee, finished the underlay and cleaned up the bedroom.
By this time it was almost 1pm, and I'd not eaten anything.
Needed to go and dot he grocery shop, so decided to head over to a small Georgian town we like, and have a spot of lunch and a walk around town, along the sea front and then do the shopping.
Stopped in some tea rooms we've been to a few times over the last few years. We like to alternate around all of the various places to eat there, so if we went over, every 6-8 weeks... we could probably eat at a different place all year.
I ordered the baked Welsh rarebit with sourdough, expecting a traditional one to be served. instead, I got these 3 massive chunks of sourdough and a baked dish of the rarebit with a crispy top to it.
We ordered a portion of chips, and shared them between us.
It was delish,... dipping the bread and the chips in and having a good old #NomNomNom
Nothing left to do on the bedroom now until the carpet is fitted on Friday.

I shamelessly stole that quote from a random post I saw on here. It perfectly captures my online existence and what I think about the current state of it.
I've been online since the mid 90's, usually through friends computers at first, before that I'd been tinkering with computers since I was about 12yrs old, from things like Commodore 64's & Amiga's as well as Atari ST's. I got my first PC with a modem in 98, I've been building my own PC's since 2000, but I'd been upgrading systems in some way since at least 91.
I remember the hope and promise it held and how that's been ripped away from everyone for lies, tracking, privacy invasion and a subscription to everything. If they could force you into a subscription service to breathe... they would.
I've been on Masto for 3yrs or so now. I deleted facebook in 2011, twitter in 2018 (not that I really ever used it) and shunned all others with the exception of G+ when that was good between 2011-2015.
Mastodon is my only social media platform now. I switched to beige.party because my previous instance went through a period of instability and was constantly down for a day or two at least 2 or 3 times a month.

I was going to have a #DIYDay after yesterdays mini festivities.
Instead it's raining and all I could do was pull some nails from some salvaged feather boards and paint a first coat on one side to see if the light green will cover the faded dark brown it was before.... It will... but will take several coats.
So after about 10-15 mins outside getting wet, I'm back indoors, drinking a latte and going to play some more Assassins Creed Odyssey for a change.
