  2. Today’s achievement - my custom-built server got much cooler because I replaced this SAS controller from hell with a tiny PCI-E to 2 х SATA III adapter with a 9125 chip.
Previously, I was convinced by #TrueNAS forums and Stack Overflow that 9125-based controllers wouldn’t work for TrueNAS. It may be true for TrueNAS, but it worked well with #Proxmox.

  3. This thing is so cool from the inside. I want to leave it like this every time I open it.
This is my #DIY #NAS I built in #Jonsbo N1 case. #TrueNas in the past, #Proxmox for now.

4 HDDs and 2 SSDs. 64 GB of RAM and 12-core Intel i5.

One thing I don’t like is a PCIe SAS controller in the bottom that is huge and gets very hot. It’s there because the motherboard had only 4 SATA ports. I want to replace that controller with something smaller and cooler.

  6. Yesterday's unfortunate discovery of a #3Dprinting omission put the kibosh on finishing this #diynas.
