  1. @mijndert Personally I don't autoupdate ever no matter how small or unimportant #Docker container it is, but I do use #DIUN notifier to keep in the loop what needs to update

  3. @loop0 #DIUN running on all Docker hotspots monitoring for changes. Once there are, I run manual controlled updates.

  4. @agh3 @RxBrad This is the main reason why I never auto update. #DIUN for notifications on new image updates but manual update when I want and need. Zero issues. blackvoid.club/diun-friendly-d

  5. @thomastospace Not a fan of autoupdate but I do use #DIUN for #docker image check and notifications.

Updates is something that I want to have control over.

  6. Well, @portainerio has finally landed with 2.21 LTS version as the "latest" image... time to update.

    tnx #DIUN!

  7. @rusty1281 @mmeier @rachel also using #diun here. Have it posting to a matrix instance I used for notifications but thinking it would be nice to create a log somewhere - a simple app/latest-version is all I have in mind

  8. @mmeier @rachel My updates are sometimes Friday, some time over the weekend. is the notification platform and then onto Git for the latest release changes. Manual, but I like to have control as well.

  9. #Docker container update time! Nothing like Friday to do some maintenance.

#DIUN notifier works like a charm but even that container needs to be updated from time to time.

@portainerio as always, the best way to manage multi-docker host environment 🦾

  10. Wer #Docker nutzt, sollte imho unbedingt einen Blick auf #Diun werfen:

  11. #Docker update Friday! Still prefer to update containers manually, but #DIUN is here to help in terms of new image notifications. Detailed info coming in #Mattermost channel

  12. #diun is a single executable to receive notifications when a #docker image is updated on a registry
    github.com/crazy-max/diun

Unlike #watchover, diun only sends notifications, it does not do updates.

    They are a lot of notifications providers: #mqtt #discord #mail #pushover #slack #telegram etc.

  14. @moozer Personally I don’t autoupdate. Like to keep that process under control. Too many interconnected containers to depend on an automated process.

I do use #DIUN for notifications on new image updates and that works well. I am still on top on the latest updates, but without the autoupdate process. Integrates via Pushover and Mattermost webhooks. Can’t miss a single update notification.
