PS: I wish #GinGNode (gin.g-node.org) will update to this at some point in the future! It goes one step further, adding DOIs to datasets/code.

Completed my first personal technology upgrade after this year's #distribits: new phone running #grapheneos

Needing new hardware was annoying (it appears nothing in the past 5 years has made devices truly better).

But the software makes up for it! Smooth installation, polished feel. For the first time in forever, I feel like the phone OS is on my side, rather than taking me hostage for commercial exploitation. A feeling that, so far, only my #debian machines could provide.

I must say the #distribits #distribits2025 conference is really nicely organized. I really like the structure of having three talks, then QA session and the extensive coffee breaks in between.
