I think you're both overthinking it. The success of the #distractedboyfriend meme is because it can be mapped on to so many other things. (Years ago I made one where the girlfriend was Sudoku, the boyfriend was "Me", and the distraction was Wordle.)
Why do you say it was a committed relationship? Part of its charm is the shock of the girlfriend learning how uncommitted he was, which maps perfectly on to this iteration of it.

I did understand your message.Maybe you're unfamiliar with the very popular #distractedboyfriend meme on which it is based, and where most of the humour lies.
Your animus against Europe (which I don't understand) is irrelevant, because this is about how Canada feels towards Europe.
I share your deploral (?) of any attacks on old (being old myself), fat, or ugly people, or on women, but this is not that because he is portrayed as he is, old fat and ugly. Caricature always exagerates people's features.
The grammar of the familiar joke requires him to be portrayed as a woman; it has nothing to do with his sex or gender.
I don't understand your defence of one of the most evil people on earth today—and most thin-skinned, hence the value of humour against him.
