If you're using #Disqus for comments on your #blog, I'd urge you to think of switching to a different workflow without any third party.

Besides the bad UX (IMO), Disqus is also categorizing comments as spam where it clearly isn't the case at all. 😔

If you don't get many comments, even email + manually adding them to the article might be an option.

At the moment, #publicvoit has email + Disqus but my plans for getting rid of Disqus are growing.

Oh Mann, da suche ich eine halbe Stunde, warum die Disqus Kommentare in meinem Blog nicht mehr funktionieren und finde dann endlich raus, dass #firefox seit längerem #Disqus nicht mehr lädt, wenn man "Enhanced Tracking Protection" im strict Mode konfiguriert hat. Und ja, das habe ich natürlich. 🙈

Damn! I just realised that #Disqus now injects ads of their own into my personal ad-free blog.

I guess I have to disable comments till I find an alternative and have the time to migrate to it. I know gisqus is one, but will need to look at it.

I'm updating my no_downvote_display extension to add support for Manifest v3 since I figure it's worthwhile to do so because downvotes can be bad mentally even with Google's anti-adblock thing. Officially I don't support Google Chrome or Chromium, but I do support #Vivaldi if you need a Chromium-based browser. Preferably I'd say to use Firefox if you can, though.

If your #Firefox doesn’t see #Disqus comments embedded on thrid-party sites, this option `urlclassifier.trackingSkipURLs = disqus.com,*.disqus.com` seems to work. From https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1875061#c7

I figured out how to get #Disqus working in #Firefox when using #EnhancedTrackingProtection : you have to turn it off for that site, but it's ok if you have #uBlockOrigin since it'll block the actual trackers on an average site using Disqus (my sample size is 3, including my own for a site that only has Disqus and nothing else considered a tracker).

Today I noticed that #Disqus started serving ads on my website, because I use their free tier plan. The alternative being to pay $11 per month! 😮

So I removed Disqus altogether and, with it, the ability to post comments on my articles ; until I can set-up a proper alternative.

Good riddance! Disqus is full of trackers anyway and I should have trashed it a long time ago.

Und ich erfreute mich an Canabalt und Regretsy [via] und wunderte mich über den Relaunch von Brightkite und eine neue Version des Disqus-Plugins, das hier erstmal die Kommentare zerschossen hat.
