It's not how it's generally used, but In my head canon #eutopia is distinguished from a #utopia by the dynamic change. As a utopia is stagnant unchanging, perfect and final, the eutopia keeps changing. I'm calling #UsrulaLeGuin #dispossessed an eutopia because it was defined by the infinitely burning #revolution within a revolution.

An eutopia might be easier to write because it can have its own 'character arc'. I think this approach can unlock a lot of the #solarpunk creativity. Writing utopia is hard.

I am reaching the end of the Dispossessed and have loved reading it. On my bookshelf to read next is (order not decided) The Terraformers by Annalee Newitz, The Lost Cause by Cory Doctorow, and The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. My question is would it be worth it to read the other books in the "Hainish Cycle"? Do any of the others have solerpunk or hope punk vibes/themes?

I've just finished #LeGuin 's #Dispossessed and I have to say I don't like it.

The world is absolutely beautiful and I'd love to read more about it, but it's presented in such a bad way. The story is a chore to follow. The real problems of an anarchist society are presented only 90% in. Despite the main character making two very important decisions on the course of a book, it doesn't feel like he had any choice, or there was any real tension. It just kind of happened.
