After more than a year, right on time for the price increases, I got my vps working today.

So many firsts:
- first provisioning via disko
- first encrypted root via disko and unlock via ssh in initrd
- first certificate generation via nix builtin acme service
- supply of acme credentials via sops-nix

So I finally have my own Forgejo up and running again and some webservices having a vpn connection to services in my homelab.

I'm trying to build a simple setup to use with impermanence. I have a disko config with three partitions, but disko won't properly setup the swap partition no matter *what* I do.

After a lot of pain I finally managed to reinstall :nixos: #NixOS, now with #btrfs subvolumes and full disk encryption using #disko. Man was that a painful experience. 😩

XFCE also seems to have lost its capability to read keyboard shortcuts from xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts.xml, yay... EDIT: Okay, a reboot fixed it 🤷

At least I have a somewhat working system now. Enough for today... 😪

Ergh running into weird issues with disks on a fresh #nixos install, I run #disko, and disko does partition things correctly, uses mounts the partitions where I want them to be, but then I cannot write to `/mnt` tho an `ls -lah /` tells me that there should be write permissions #nix

Ok, #nixos-anywhere + #disko is pretty good actually
