WOW! I can't believe it! It's not quite been a week and there's been 775 downloads of Issue 1 of my diskmag "Adventures In Retro" from Aminet - I've not got stats for this enabled on the website so not sure how many have downloaded from there.

Diskmag: "Adventures In Retro" #1
Duncon Woodward has created "Adventures in Retro", a disk magazine previously exclusive to the Amiga, but whose content covers the entire retro computing scene. In addition to various Amiga-related articles, the premiere issue also features reviews of Prince of Persia on various 8-bit platforms, as well as retrospectives on the C16/Plus 4 and the last generation of the Amstrad CPC.

very much enjoying this so far. pointed me to a few collectives, collections, and archives I wasn't aware of!
i think there's an interesting sidestream to electronic literature in the form of "LitPacks" or diskmags that function as amateur publishing magazines. Diskmags, I would argue, are a sort of hypertext in themselves.

@Philsan Oh my, I had the (german) C64 version of the game back in the day and played it a lot - entertaining game. IIRC the version I played was included in one issue of the #MagicDisk64 #Diskmag. This Atari conversion looks very great - hopefully someone ports that one back to the Commodore 64

Success! I acquired an old (2012) laptop from my mom, spent 2 hours repairing the AC cable, another 2 hours installing Arch Linux. The old CD drive managed to read at least one of the disks with no errors at all!
