@jeffjarvis I left my last publishing position when that company wanted me digitizing info gathering to eliminate jobs. That was b&w as I couldn't see me happy making others miserable. After paring down, that division was sold off proving an inevitability justifying my abandoning ship
But this seems more gray for what will Fla govt look like after another 10yrs of population growth vs what will be institutions there if good people abandon now by what might offend personal ethics?

@E2Eresearch I spend a bit of time talking to older shoppers who by definition dislike change and almost invariably the #women will not use self checkout and many refuse to put up with the #disgruntled #staff members #randomly checking purchases and receipt are aligned.
My favourite response to the checkout checker was if you can't #train your staff to do the checking out then don't expect me to respond well to be assumed a #thief.
For me as a lifelong lefty (not an auto #Labor/ #Democrat voter) I see self #checkouts as a scam to #deprive a young person of a #job.
#woolworths take note.
