Discord says that the data breach wasn’t “Discord”, but rather a breach of their third-party partner. They continued to state that “privacy and security is a top priority”.
Clearly not, or the personal information never would’ve been collected in the first place, and you sure as hell wouldn’t entrust that responsibility to a third party.
About 70,000 users affected.

Discord's support/help system got hacked and sensitive user data including ID photos used for age verification were stolen: https://www.theverge.com/news/792032/discord-customer-service-data-breach-hack
And they are trying to desperately downplay the impact in their press release: https://discord.com/press-releases/update-on-security-incident-involving-third-party-customer-service
This is why you don't do age verification via photos btw., either do it in a cryptographic secure way or just don't do it if you can't do it securely...
