#Bedbound & forced to stay in a dark room, she is very vulnerable and that is taken advantage of. She is not allowed to access #disabilityaids or supportworkers & needs approval for all mailed items including food, which may be binned or sold regardless. She faces deliberate exposure to sensory overload, days without food, constant yelling, gaslighting, called every insult, stolen belongings - the list is endless.

She has been infected with #COVID 3 times in 15 months due to unmasked family members, who have ignored the pleas of her doctor to be Covid conscious. She now has #LongCovid as well.

This is compounded by #endometriosis, #hypothyroidism, #POTS, #chronicpain, & more. She was forced to decline surgery to remove endometriosis after her family denied her after care & would not allow support workers to assist. One of many examples where medical care was denied by #CoersiveControl

As a result of all this her health is deteriorating rapidly. She is living in "survival mode” but can’t for much longer.

There are no steady rules, just excuses for her #abuse.

Already received my compression #gloves 24-hour delivery darn good for free postage. Felt the difference as soon as I put them on, clearly less #pain. One of the few I found that covers all the joints, many fingerless leave the top one of the middle fingers and I felt them a lot after all the pencil use. The palm side is entirely covered in grippy dots, so no mug slipping, etc. Brand called #Pro11.

Hands ached for hours. I’ve ordered a cheap pair of fingerless compression #gloves and a fancy heated full-length pair, plus some fingerless for my mum. We’ll be very gloved-up soon.

Today I got my hearing aids for my sensory processing issues!!

It's a microphone and a receiver that I can connect to my noise cancelling headphones. The microphone is designed to only pick up the sound of the wearer or the person it's pointing at, so their voice is amplified while the rest is filtered out.

It also has a "table mode" where it picks up sound from all directions for when I need to listen to multiple people.

I'm so happy, can't wait to try it out when I visit my family and for next semesters university lectures! ​:happy_flappy_hands_emoji:​

I am looking to get a fold-out bar stool so I can not only work my temp job later in the year and have something comfortable to sit on, but also be able to cook and do meal prep in the kitchen. Do any of yall have suggestions?

For anyone not familiar, I have mobility/chronic pain issues relating to problems with my spine which can make it hard to walk and get around

Go off to my usual disability aids supplier to order a spare non tumble tumbler and another of the red plate guards I use so very often. Both absolutely essential disability aids so I can manage meals. And trust me to nab some more things! Getting a poncho for my wheelchair, and a blue tartan stick (made in Somerset!).
