Who's flinging mud at Democratic Party candidate for Maine governor Graham Platner?
Would it surprise you to know that it's an operative for a shady MAGA dirty tricks organization?
"The star witness in the New York Times' big exposé on Graham Platner spent the fall of 2018 co-founding a group called Ladies for Kavanaugh and publicly branding Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault account "baseless." The Times ran her story across its front page and never mentioned that part.Her name is Lyndsey Fifield. She is not a random ex who came forward.
She is a career conservative operative whose longest job was at the Heritage Foundation, the shop that authored Project 2025.
She later did digital marketing for Nikki Haley and is now a fellow at the Independent Women's Forum, the same outfit that handed Susan Collins her talking points for confirming Kavanaugh in the first place.
In 2018 she called the women accusing Kavanaugh liars and said she wanted those allegations to follow his accuser for life. In 2026 she would like to be believed without question.

Earlier this year, news footage began making the rounds on social media of young activists from the German climate organization Letzte Generation (Last Generation) being assaulted by their fellow citizens as they obstructed streets in an effort to draw attention to the German government’s inaction on climate. A young woman, with her hand glued to a road was ripped off the road by her hair; a young man was run over by a truck driver; a passerby punched the protestors and was cheered on. A few months later, German police raided the homes of Last Generation activists and seized their bank accounts.
It all seemed like a gross overreaction to a pretty tame form of protest…
