Since Monday, the #PleiadesGazetteer editorial college has published 10 new and 63 updated place resources, reflecting the work of 15 people and projects. It was the main ancient sanctuary at Ai Khanoum (Takhar Province, Afghanistan), built in a mixture of Greek and Mesopotamian styles under the #Seleucids and rebuilt under the #Diodotids in the 240s BCE, again in the early 2rd century BCE and in the reign of Eukratides (ca. 170-140 BCE).
