It took just 60 years for red foxes to colonise Australia from Victoria to the Pilbara
"European red foxes and domestic cats brought to Australia kill about 300 million native animals in Australia every year and remain the major driver of past and current extinctions."
"The first red foxes, (Vulpes vulpes), to arrive in Australia were deliberately released by European colonialists in 1870 in three Victorian locations – Werribee, Corio (near Geelong) and Ballarat. They were introduced for the “noble” sport of fox hunting."
"Unfortunately, the suppression of dingoes across Australia following European colonisation is at least partly to blame for the explosion in fox numbers because there are not sufficient densities of dingoes control foxes. Foxes flourish in areas modified by humans. We show that their populations are densest around urban centres, and they do well after land is cleared for agriculture."

In ye #olde days, I modified #Puppy #Linux to create various Linux Time Machine distros (spelled #Tmxxine in this #dimension). It was easy to do. Puppy became more #complex later. Many of the programs used then, I still prefer and use.
Puppy always used #efficiency and efficient programs as much as #possible. After all it was named by Barry Kauler after a fearless chihuahua, called [did you guess] 'Puppy'. One day the pup disappeared, Believed to have been eaten by a #dingo. :blobcatsadlife:

As previously announced, I wanted to do something special to celebrate having recently reached 100 followers on this account, and also in celebration of Macro March. If you'd like to join me in doing that, and be featured as a micro in the final version of the sketch attached to this post (to be released, of course, during March), you can join this YCH raffle by doing the following:

· Following this account (if you already do, you're of course free to participate and skip this step).
· Replying to this post and stating which numbered slot you'd like to be featured in (you may only choose one slot), excluding the ones that are marked as "(TAKEN)".

Tänään ois sitte vuorossa Popeda. Olin varmaan jotain 11 v, kun näin Popedan ekaa kertaa keikalla ja se iski johonkin tonne sisälle niin kovaa, että vieläkin tuntuu. Silloin mentiin Poriin kattomaan ensisijaisesti Dingoa (tietenki 🤭), samalla keikalla soitti myös Popeda ja sen jälkeen soi ite radiosta äänitetyillä C-kaseteilla Dingon lisäks yhä useemmin myös Popeda niiden monen muun hyvän lisäks, joita niissä oli.
