Just thought I'd put out a reminder that the holiday Free-Loader days at #DimeADozen end Monday Jan 8th — a great opportunity to balance your share ratio, or so I hope, since, listening to jazz boots, and being in traffic-shaped Canada, it takes a LONG time to get their minimum ratio!
Currently sitting on #CarlaBley Weiz 2012-04-23, #MarshallAllen 2023-11-28, #SunRa Arkestra Toronto 2023-06-28 and Slugs 1970, and #PreservationHall 2023-08-18. Just sayin'…

Just for the record, #qBittorent solved many problems I had with the (long abandoned?) #ktorrent and #transmission on #ubuntu, although I still appear unable to upload on #dimeadozen torrents.
Unlike the others too, the help button contains help.

Anyone with expertise in #ktorrent use with #dimeadozen via a router? I've forwarded 6881 both TCP and udp and confirmed using whatsmyip.org but Dime says "protocol error 1: no/erroneous bt client or misconfigured router" and my upload ratio is dismal! #ktorrent config lists "udp tracker" on port 8881 which I redirected but the test says there's no listener…
Should I just migrate my torrents back to #Transmission?

I suppose it was expected, considering the minority of #jazz fans, the fall from Grace of bittorrent, and our usual national firewall that protects us from evil foreign protocols, but of five I thought might go, the two best stand at 0.7 and 0.12% share ratios after two weeks, and the gigabulk of them has cast me among The Suspended 😔
So #friendlyadvice should you get into #Dimeadozen: choose your first torrents carefully, and one at a time, until you find a show others want but few will share!
