At one #school i taught at a group of the 'cool' teachers would sit in the #staffroom during break time and rip into the kids - normally those who caused trouble around the school.

I often think about this. Seemed pretty unprofessional to me, unkind and cruel. On the other hand it was a release of tension and these were the kids that made the teachers' lives hard. And i still have pangs of guilt because it was very #funny . #ethical #dilema

The joy of fixing something that has been broken for over 5 years!!
We had an electrical fault in a socket in the house that connected our dishwasher! But the dishwasher was broken and we didn't use the socket so it got left. Multiple times I tried to find the cause for the issue (a faulty earth) which only affected this one socket!
A had a suspicion that the fault lay behind a cupboard that was put in when we had the kitchen renovated but didn't have sufficient belief that made it worth ripping the cupboards out! Yesterday I freed the cupboard from the attachments and found a live socket and switch point! And inside the switch a disconnected earth wire! I reconnected the earth and the fault cleared.
Joy o joy ... But why couldn't the workmen that did the job have converted the switch and socket into junction boxes! Now I need to decide ~ put the cupboard back or do the conversions first!!

#korporat mi dnes oznámil, že od 1.9. se můžu v mobilu připojit na portál jen w android13/iOS16 a vyšší.
Od ledna 21 mám realme 7 pro a nic mi nechybí. Skončil na Androidu 12.

Musím se zamyslet, jak dál.

Možnosti:
- ignorovat a smířit se s tím, že se na firemní data nedostanu? (nepohodlné)
- využít příležitosti k důslednému oddělení soukromé a firemní SIM pořízením nového telefonu?
- pořídit nejlevnější krám s co nejvyšším androidem?
- zaplatit cca 5k za "ztracený"mobil a vyfasovat nový v ceně cca 15k? (iPhone/Samsung/Motorola)
- koupit si nový dual SIM? Co třeba Nothing phone?
- zkusit do stávajícího dostat Custom ROM z XDA fóra? (Asi to nebude tak snadné jak kdysi s Redmi 1s)

Tengo un #dilema. El #iphone lleva meses que no funciona bien, tengo que usarlo en manos libres para poder hablar. Tenía pensando hacerme con el 16 plus pero a esto se le suma que estaré meses cortito de dinero hasta recuperarme así que me pregunto sino sería conveniente volverme a #android y pillarme un #redmi o #poco. La otra opción sería optar a un #iPhoneSE. Lo único que me echa para atrás android es porque no me gusta tener a #Google detrás cogiendo mis datos así que sinceramente no sé qué hacer por dinero me volvería a android pero por el tema datos, actualizaciones y la vida útil del dispositivo vería mejor un iPhone. Otra opción que pensé en comprarme ahora el redmi y más adelante regalárselo a mi padre que tiene un móvil viejo y volverme a iOS… no sé qué haré

Tengo un #dilema:

Actualmente pago #YouTube Premium junto con YouTube Music. (18€ pack familiar). Pero me estoy planteando dejar de pagarlo y empezar con #Netflix otra vez. Me gusta mucho ver #series y #películas pero amo la #música y los #vídeos de YT. También hay que tener en cuenta que en casa todo está controlado por Google #Home y siempre hay música sonando en casa a través de los #altavoces y #pantallas #inteligentes de #Google.

While growing up, when I was asked regarding what I looked forward towards in the future, I always had the answer.

The answer was simply, I wanted to be a Doctor (coz that’s what I knew my whole life and indirectly working towards albeit having other interests).

Thus, from primary school, next would be high school, moving towards science stream in school and pre-university in a course which would serves as a prerequisite into entering medical school. 

In medical school, my focus was always on the exams, completing that particular posting, completing that year, completing preclinicals and moving onto clinicals, studying for the grand finals, completing medical school and graduating.

Upon graduation, applying for housemanship to start practicing. I always knew that I wanted to practice in Sarawak General Hospital. Thus, that didn’t require much thinking. Working my way there, and finally, starting housemanship.

Now that I’m a House Officer, completing each posting, working towards completing a year, now focusing on completing the whole journey.

But after that? I feel lost and aimless.

Previously, when asked regarding my need to have a family, I would brush it off. Not that I didn’t want to but I’ve yet to meet the person that I would want to spend the rest of my life with and build a family.

My aim was mainly catered towards my parents. But they’re doing just fine on their own. Thank God for that. I don’t see my purpose anymore actually.

In regard to post-housemanship, I have no idea of which speciality I would like to dive into. In terms of being surgical based or medical based, the thing I learnt over this past 1 year is that I’m definitely a surgical based person. Though, I have enjoyed paediatrics very much (which I supposed is a very much toned down version of the chaotic medical posting).

I wouldn’t know, as upon writing this article, I’ve yet to complete my medical posting.

The medical field is not just tied to 6 different postings. As a House Officer in Malaysia, we are required to rotate to 6 different postings throughout our 2-year-duration in housemanship which are, Surgery, Medical, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics. The sixth posting, we have the privilege to choose among Emergency Department (ETD / ED), Anaesthesia, Klinik Kesihatan (Community Clinics) and Psychiatry.

However, in reality, the clinical field is vast and there are other specialities that we as House Officers have yet to enter. In terms of non-clinical field, it is another vast category.

Which of it am I?

At times I wished that I always knew of what I wanted to be, such as a Cardiologist or a Surgeon but after assisting in the operating theatres and working as a junior doctor, none of it appeals to me 100%. Sure it is interesting but is it something I would want to be doing for the rest of my life?

Having completed a year of housemanship, I thought that the answer would be clear to me by now. Yet, I’m still as unsure as I had been before. I’ve approached multiple seniors, medical officers and specialists and talked to various doctors from different fields regarding their experience. I seem to have the information but my heart was not fully captured by any of it. 

Everything seems nice and interesting. I hope that in time to come, the answer would be clearer. The least I could do at the moment is to put my best foot forward in whatever department or sector that I go through.

Went to Walmart and bought a new TV. That was until we got it out of the box, screen was dirty, and all the parts were in a zip lock bag. Fired it up and... all the shit is logged into someone named John. John has Disney+ and Peacock Prime, which we do not have. We checked all the other streaming sites and that is the two he has that we don't. If we were honest we'd simply log him out of his services but at the same time, he's the reason I don't have a brand new TV.
